One of the greatest struggles people face in life isn’t just financial hardship, relationships, or personal battles—it’s a distorted view of God. Even most wars, political conflicts, and religious divisions stem from the same root—a misunderstanding of who God really is.

What you believe about God shapes every aspect of your life—your peace, joy, expectations, and even your faith. If your view of God is wrong, your entire life will reflect that.

What If You’ve Been Seeing God All Wrong?

Many of us have unknowingly built an image of God based on:
❌ Religious traditions that mix law and grace
❌ Old Testament misconceptions without understanding Jesus’ fulfillment of the law
❌ Opinions of others who don’t fully know Him
❌ **Our own experiences with hardship and unanswered prayers

The truth is this:

If you don’t have the right view of God, you’ll never experience the fullness of His grace, love, and blessings.

Let’s take a journey together to uncover God’s true nature—not based on opinions, not based on old religious mindsets, but based on Jesus Himself.

  1. God’s Nature is Always Good—No Exceptions

“He came for you. He paid for you. He wants you. He loves you. He is for you, not against you. His will for you is good. His plan for you is good.”

Many people believe that sometimes God is good, but other times He withholds blessings to “teach us a lesson.” But nowhere in the New Testament does Jesus ever withhold healing, deliverance, or provision from anyone who came to Him in faith.

📖 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV) says:
“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘YES’ in Christ.”

That means:
✅ God doesn’t say “Maybe later.”
✅ God doesn’t say “I’m withholding from you.”
✅ God doesn’t say “Prove yourself first.”

His answer is already YES because of Jesus!

The devil’s greatest deception—starting from the Garden of Eden—was making man believe God was withholding good things from them (Genesis 3:5). That same lie still works today.

Jesus came to destroy this lie and reveal the true heart of the Father. He came to remove doubt about God’s goodness once and for all.

  1. Jesus Is the Perfect Image of God

Many people base their understanding of God on bits and pieces of the Old Testament, failing to realize that Jesus came to fully reveal who God really is.

📖 John 14:9 (NIV)
“Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.”

Jesus didn’t come just to save the world—He came to reveal the Father’s heart so we would never have to doubt His goodness.

What Do We See in Jesus?

👀 Jesus never rejected anyone who came to Him in faith. He never required man-made righteousness before healing, feeding, or delivering them.
👀 Jesus never put sickness on people to teach them a lesson.
👀 Jesus never said, “It’s not my will to heal you.” (See Matthew 8:2 where He immediately healed the leper who asked).

📖 Hebrews 1:3 (NLT)
“The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God.”

📖 Colossians 1:15 (NLT)
“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation.”

If you ever wonder what God is like, don’t look at religion or peoplelook at Jesus.

  1. Why So Many People Misunderstand God

Many believers live in fear, condemnation, and confusion because they mix the Old and New Covenants.

Some were taught:
❌ “If you want God’s blessings, you must be fully obedient.” (Deuteronomy 28)
❌ “If you sin, God will punish you.”
❌ “God will only answer your prayers if you live perfectly.”

But here’s what Jesus fulfilled:

📖 Romans 5:19 (NIV)
“Through the obedience of the one man, the many will be made righteous.”

That means:
✅ You are blessed because of Jesus.
✅ You are righteous because of Jesus.
✅ You can receive healing, provision, and favor because of Jesus.

Your relationship with God is not based on your works—it’s based on Jesus’ finished work on the cross.

  1. The Great Exchange: Trading Fear for Faith

Understanding God’s true nature transforms your life.

📖 Philippians 3:10 (AMP)
“I want to know Him [experientially], becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely.”

What Happened at the Cross?

🔄 Jesus took your sin → You receive His righteousness
🔄 Jesus took your pain → You receive His healing
🔄 Jesus took your curse → You receive His blessing
🔄 Jesus took your fear → You receive His peace

This is the fellowship of His sufferings (Philippians 3:10). It’s not about suffering with Him—it’s about receiving what He suffered for!

  1. What You Believe About God Shapes Your Life

Your view of God will:

  • Shape your perspective – How you see situations
  • Shape your expectations – What you believe for your future
  • Shape your responses – How you react to trials
  • Shape your emotions – How you handle fear and anxiety
  • Shape your decisions – What choices you make daily

If you see God as:
❌ Distant → You will struggle to trust Him
❌ Angry → You will live in fear and guilt
❌ Stingy → You will have a scarcity mindset
❌ Unpredictable → You will have no confidence in prayer

But if you see God as:
✅ Good → You will walk in peace
✅ Faithful → You will trust Him more
✅ Generous → You will live in abundance
✅ Loving → You will receive His blessings without fear

📖 Psalm 23:6 (NIV)
“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life.”

When you believe in God’s goodness, you start expecting good things to follow you!
